There are nearly 28 million businesses in the U.S. 22 million are small unincorporated businesses, run by self-employed individuals with no other employees. On an average, these businesses report a median revenue of less than $15,000 per year. For this market segment we have developed the "Online Start & Thrive" program.

A Forrester Research study showed that the web accounted for or influenced 42% of retail sales in 2009, and projects that by 2014, online retail sales will grow by 10% a year for the next five years, and the web will influence 53% of those sales. The report says 70% of U.S. online consumers already have researched products online and then bought them offline.

The USA census survey reinforces our findings. The USA census indicates that earning for these companies is more than $100,000 annually. That provides most of the funds to support the development of profitable websites and online campaigns that ultimately will increase their revenue.

Some of them are not Internet connected because these companies earn, on an average, between $100,000 and $700,000 a year—earnings that are sufficient to allow them to invest, create and support sophisticated website, e-commerce and social media marketing program that eventually will increase their gross sales.
